The WordPress English column tells you that Yelling Rosa’s Weblog is viewed 17.600 times in 2018. This is more than I expected because I tried to lead you, my readers to my Finnish WordPress blog “Yelling Rosan Blogi”. I have seen that we are on our best when we are using our mother tongue specially when we are talking about poems, those little emotional creatures.
In 2019 I will stick to Yelling Rosan Blogi more than I did in 2018. I won’t abandon Yelling Rosa’s Weblog but upload here less material than in 2018. It is my intention to publish multilingual poetry book by the end of this year. That work demands all my attention. I might give some information on that project during the year on Yelling Rosan Blogi which has Google Translator and usually when Translator has made a bad job I have corrected it by giving the right translation from Finnish to English.

Congratulations on your great success and all the best for forward.
To translate poetry is difficult as they often draw on analogies more typical for one country than the other. To write directly in e.g. two languages seems the easiest solution to me.
I am fully bilingual but have lived longer in U.K. then Sweden. Oddly, when poetry started happening to me it was all in English. Only two came spontaneous whilst in Sweden and. Having talked to a near friend.
Intriguing is the power of the brain and the roots for our emotions.

Thank you for commenting. It is interested to know more about your background. I am not a bilingual person, but I try to avoid translating my poems. That’s why I have some poems in English, but not in any other languages. The English language is a very challenging one and anyone who uses it must have a chance to speak it every day with the native speakers. I’m trying now in Swedish and Finnish.
I wish you very rewarding year 2019 👍
