People break into me,
Fill the corridors of my mind with their stuff.
They throw objects upside down.
I blunder in my thoughts.
The connection to my soul breaks.
The core runs in the forest,
Is all alone and miserable.
I scream.
My spirit doesn’t hear.
The chatter of the crowd eats my voice.
I am in the social circuit.
I shun arguing.
I vanish.

The shouts of people overlook our words. Everybody shouts and nobody listens.
You have described the actual situation well.

Thank you.
My poem is just all about that what you said.
Sometimes it’s not easy to be a human being.
Take care and have a nice time 🙂

Excellent! It seems rather timely for what is going on in the US today and the “connection to our soul” has broken. I had to read it several times. We and you cannot vanish!

I read this more than once, too. Your opening lines say it all and the rest keeps speaking the truth.”People break into me, Fill the corridors of my mind with their stuff.”

Your poem explains how I’ve been feeling lately. When the world is too much, I just want to be still and be quiet, and be at peace with my own thoughts. Thanks for sharing.

Too much information, nobody listens. Somehow, this reminds me of the people of nowadays—the-world-wants-to-know-something-about-me days. Everybody’s a loner in a crowd. And only a few realize that. Just saying. 🙂
PS: It seems that visitors cannot comment on older posts here. I hope you don’t mind if I do mine on ‘paucalism’ here,
Never heard of this Latin word ‘paucus’, but ‘paucalism’ doesn’t sound too bad indeed. Perhaps it’s about time someone brings it into existence. 🙂
By the way, Aye! The very few (the elites) are running the show, and a big chunk of the society doesn’t even have the slightest idea what’s on the go! 🍸

Thank you for commenting. You’re right that we are rounded by the information which is too much for us to deal with. I leave your comment on Paucalism here because it is so important thing for us. I really hope that the word Paucalism would be spread because all human beings are needed to build up the balanced world.
Take care and feel all right.

I understand being in the social circuit. People scream at each other; even on social media. Excellent words.

Wow, this is a beautiful and authentic post. I really appreciate how real you are. To me, being honest with what’s going on inside can be a true gift – it can bring in great healing and acceptance.
I also wanted to mention that you are welcome to contribute a post for Forgiving Fridays. As you may know, it’s a weekly prompt I do to invite readers to share their experiences with forgiveness. It can be whatever calls to you, including poetry — I can imagine how this can open to great forgiveness — or an experience you had. Creativity is just fine. ❤
If you decide to contribute, all you need to do is include #ForgivingFridays in your tags & a pingback to my post. Here's the link if helpful.
Many blessings. Thanks again for an inspirational and moving post. Loving, Debbie

A noisy world it is!
The only time I like to write is in the wee hours of the night….when I can listen and hear the quiet thoughts within.
