The Firing Line

The Firing Line 6.4.17 © Yelling Rosa

I don’t know where to go now
When the world is making faces to me.
I can’t hide from that where I live.
In the middle of the firing line I fume
Like a gunpowder echoing wounds
To my own beating heart.

About Yelling Rosa

I am retired. In my spare time I read, write, play the guitar and hike. I have published three verse books in Finnish and recorded my songs. You can listen to them on YouTube. I have translated some of my poems on Yelling Rosa's Weblog. I also like to watch movies. Olen kiinnostunut lukemisesta, kirjoittamisesta, kitaransoitosta ja luonnossa vaeltamisesta. Olen julkaissut kolme runokirjaa ja laulujani on äänitteillä. Voit lukea runojani Yelling Rosan kotisivuilta ja kuunnella laulujani YouTubessa. Olen elokuvafriikki.

      Thank you.
Many of us have been between two family fronts at least once in a life.
and been made to feel that the neutrality is not accepted from either brawling sides.
      It’s hard.
      Take care ❤

  5. Very timely in some ways but the family fronts are a good reflection too. Sharing this post on Facebook with my son who appreciates poems. I hope you don’t mind. Cheers for the weekend!
